Limpopo RiverThe Limpopo river is the second longest river in South Africa, with a length of 1750 km. The Limpopo river is famous for white-water rafting, as it contains several waterfalls and rapid sections. Before emptying into the Indian Ocean, the Limpopo River serves as a border for about 640 km between South Africa and Botswana. The Limpopo river is a very slow moving one, but sometimes after a heavy rainfall the river floods. However heavy rain is unusual, so unusual in fact that it hardly flows more than 40 days a year.
